The Update Selected function allows the user to select multiple records and simultaneously update data in all of the selected records to a specified value. 

The function is not available on all list screens.  If available, you will see an Update selected button at the top of the list, which is activated for use after you have selected records from the list. Clicking the button will then display a pop-up screen where you can enter the new value(s) and update the selected records.

Available on: Reversion Option Report, MLC Work Summary Data, Process MLC Royalties, Pitching Activity (list of songs pitched to lead), Licenses (royalty splits lists for copyright owners), Royalty Payments (royalty detail list for the royalty recipient)

Example:

In the following example, we will update a Pitching Activity record to show that the songs submitted for a lead have not been selected for the project. 

Click on the checkboxes next to each song that was submitted for the lead, then click on Update selected in the top left area of the list.

This will automatically display the Update selected pop-up screen. From the pop-up screen, click the checkbox to the left of the field that you wish to update, select the new value from the drop-down list, then click on Update # records button to perform the update. [The # placeholder will reference how many records you are updating simultaneously.]

This will automatically return you to the main screen after updating the selected records.
