License Status Codes are used in Licenses to classify the current status of a license. They also control the order in which licenses are displayed in List View, since the licenses list is sorted by status in ascending order .

A license is added with a default Status of “ACTIVE”, but may be changed to reflect a different status during the course of processing the license. For instance if the license is anticipated but not yet final, the status could be changed to “PENDING”. After royalties are paid out, the status of a license could be changed to “CLOSED” to indicate that the license and royalties have been completely processed.

A default list of License Status Codes are available for your use, however, you may add, delete, or edit these codes to suit your business model.

License Status Codes are accessed from the drop-down list in the Licensing module and may be customized directly from the list screen via Inline Add or Edit.
